"Empathy Patchwork" Workshop
In this hands-on workshop, participants of all ages will create a unique fabric piece that reflects a personal story, feeling, or message about empathy. Together, these pieces will form a beautiful hanging patchwork installation that celebrates the diverse experiences within our community. Through guided reflection, art-making, and interactive sharing, participants will explore what empathy means and how we can practice it in our everyday lives.

Huichol Ojo de Dios Workshop

This workshop introduces participants to the traditional Ojo de Dios (God’s Eye) weaving practiced by the Wixárika (Huichol) people of Mexico. Participants will learn about the cultural significance of the craft and create their own woven piece using yarn and wooden sticks. The activity promotes creativity, cultural appreciation, mindfulness, and fine motor skill development.

Part 2 is a hands-on studio workday. You’ll mix paints using CMYK principles, explore hue, value, and chroma through the Munsell system, evaluate color relationships (complementary, analogous, monochromatic, and more), and experiment with collage and mixed media.

Calling young womxn interested in joining a local performance dance group. Mini Mix'd is hosting a FREE Hip Hop dance workshop for girls ages 10-17 in collaboration with Womxn 2 Womxn on Saturday, June 21st from 5-7pm.
Please come ready to move, please also bring a water bottle, a journal/notebook and pen.
Mini Mix'd was established in 2015 in Oakland, California under the Mix'd Ingrdnts Dance Company umbrella. And now in 2025, a new chapter will be born in Fresno! Mini Mix'd is an all-female, youth performance company working directly with Jenay "ShinobiJaxx" Anolin the Co-Founder of Mix'd Ingrdnts. Mini Mix'd not only meets weekly to learn a mixture of traditional and street dance styles, but gives the opportunity for girls to develop leadership skills and will create and plan at least one community fundraising event together
If you are girl who love to dance, has drive and passion that create, inspire and share performance art to tell stories and make a difference then this is for you.
